November 20, 2019.- Through ALIDE’s intermediation, representatives of Costa Rica’s Banco Popular y de Desarrollo Comunal made visits to financial institutions in Peru, Chile and Colombia. The purpose of the mission of high-level executives was, within the framework of the creation of a financial inclusion banking system in Costa Rica, to learn about the working experience of Latin American institutions in financing production sectors.

Meetings were arranged and held with a number of different institutions like Chile’s Corporación de Fomento de la Producción (Corfo), Corporación Financiera de Desarrollo (Cofide) of Peru, and Banco de Comercio Exterior de Colombia (Bancóldex), as well as with representatives of ALIDE’s own General Secretariat. The mission also sought to collect information about microfinance use in digital banking management.
