Mr. Joseph A. Amihere retired from the services of the Association of African Development Finance Institutions (AADFI) after 21 years of meritorious service.
Mr. Amihere joined AADFI in 1998 as Communication Officer, after a brief stint as a consultant with the African Development Bank. While in AADFI, he rose to the position of the Secretary-General, a position he held until his retirement on 28 February 2019.
As the Secretary-General of AADFI, he was a member of the Board of Governors of the World Federation of Development Financing Institutions (WFDFI), and also doubled as the Secretary-General of WFDFI from January 2019 until his retirement.
Mr. Amihere was instrumental in mobilizing support for the establishment of the AADFI Prudential Standards Guidelines and Rating System (PSGRS), and contributed to the growth of the Association and its relationship with partners across the globe, in addition to other successful projects carried out during his tenure.
The Association wishes Mr. Amihere, a very fulfilling life in retirement.
